Work in progress.
Want to be clear on what the pain points of our targeted audience are.
We’re going to run something like webinars and then send several emails to the attendees after the webinar.
The post event emails that go event attendees should have the content in them and be valuable and in of themselves - the point is to provide value right within the email. The idea is to build up a sense of reciprocity. It’s like putting deposits in a bank. Then you can make a pitch to join your community.
Running events for the community
- You need to grinddd to get value for the community out of the event.
- You need to should set up your events in such a way that you can pause once every ~ 10 minutes for questions - remember it’s about helping members make connections and giving them the mic sometimes.
- You should chop the video up and:
- Send it to all attendees but lead with a heavy pitch to join the community
- Have the guest send it to their audience with a heavy pitch to join the community
- you have to grind to get guests to help
- have the promote the event a few times on social
- if they’re an exec in their (large) company have them drop a note or two about it in the relevant channel
- if they have a newsletter, put together an email for them with the chopped up clips and transcript (that starts with here’s i think I did with xyz.community - click here to join)
- have them share on social a few of the clips after the fact
